FBISE Grading Scheme
The Federal Board represents the student’s marks scored in the annual examination (SSC, HSSC) in grades only. Therefore, students must know their grade/marks scheme and how to calculate.
However, the FBISE grade will not be provided to those candidates who have passed the Secondary/Higher Secondary School Certificate an examination from the Boards of Education other than the Federal Board.
A candidate, who has qualified for the grant of Secondary (SSC) / Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC), shall be placed in one of the following grading systems :
- 1. 80% and above Al Exceptional
- 2. 70% and above but below 80% A Excellent
- 3. 60% and above but below 70% B Very good
- 4. 50% and above but below 60% C Good
- 5. 40% and above but below 50% D Very fair
- 6. 33% and above but below 40% E Fair
Improvement of Grade/Marks
Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Islamabad conducted both SSC and HSSC annual and supplementary examinations. If any students did not score grade marks as she/he expected, they can apply for Improvement of Grade/Marks.
All candidates who desire to improve their grades/marks must be considered by the respective Federal Board authorities. Just after the FBISE Result, a student may have only 30 days for application.
